In a way, it’s like a brilliant little Blumhouse construction project. Here is the much-loved IP, a structure in the title, the established animatronic characters and the security guard. We want to make it for $25 million. How do we do it?
The stars are the animatronics… don’t want to make them CG… go to Henson, the clear leaders in puppets for decades… how much will that cost? Okay. Can’t afford big names… the guy from The Hunger Games will do it for a price and some back-end… Matthew Lillard… Mary Stuart Masterson… no one else you have ever heard of. Two locations, basically. This director on the rise, Emma Tammi, has done some interesting horror work and she can write too. Go!
