We are just a day away from final Oscar voting and it is time for the final pitches for each of the 10 Best Picture nominees. But what is perhaps the most interesting is that even though ads are pushing out all over the place, only a few of the 10 nominees seem to be pushing a Phase II narrative.
Frontrunner Oppenheimer is pretty much running the same stuff they have been running. Their approach has been to let the movie do the work. And it has.
Campaigns that seem to have settled into the idea that they are mostly in the acting races and not likely to win Best Picture, The Holdovers and Killers of the Flower Moon, are leaning on “Best Picture of the Year” messaging and highlighting Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Paul Giamatti, and Lily Gladstone.
