THB 418.2: Netflix Quarter 3
Not a terribly interesting quarter… but that’s been true for a while.
My plan to do a piece about the quarterly release and another about “call” has become just one “okee dokey” piece.
It was a solid, basically boring quarter for Netflix.
The Wall Street group only seems to care about what was expected and don’t think too much past that.
The day started at $352, fell to $346 at the end of the session, before the release… and now, the price is up $42.56 after hours (+12.29%), at $389 as I write at 4:07p pacific. Exciting, but also where Netflix was just 46 days ago… which is also about $100 cheaper than it was in July.
Netflix stock prices make no sense. But one thing we do know… unless something changes in a big way, the company will never come close to being threatened by being valued at its actual value.
