THB #361: Academy Of Deja Vu' All Over Again
Having written about this industry for over 30 years - 25+ years online - I think the most difficult part for me is repetition. I hate writing the same ideas over and over and over again.
In the last 4 days, I have visited and re-experienced The Academy Museum and today, The Academy released their “AWARDS CAMPAIGN PROMOTIONAL REGULATIONS FOR THE 96TH ACADEMY AWARDS®.”
I would like to report any progress.
But I cannot.
The Miyazaki exhibit that opened the museum 20 months ago closed 11 months ago. It was replaced by Regeneration: Black Cinema, which was not open this Friday morning, but is due to be there through July. Presumably that is the 4th floor space where “Hollywoodland” will be, which is meant to be a permanent exhibit covering the building of Hollywood from the start. But it was delayed six months, from now until November 2023, a date we can only hope they hit. (They don’t have enough space.)
The Godfather exhibit ate the Wizard of Oz exhibit.
