Yes, but he didn’t and I’m happy that Robin Williams did, given what’s happened since. It seems to me that Reynolds, Eddie Murphy and Stallone made too many bad films in their careers that somehow counted against them when the final Oscar vote was cast. Too bad in a way but I’m glad Mark Rylance won and can’t wait to see what he does next. Pity about Kate Winslet but I guess Alicia Vikander deserved it for the body of work she produced last year.
