DP/30: Retrograde, Matthew Heineman

One of America's premiere documentarians, Matthew Heineman makes documentaries that make people uncomfortable. Last year, his The First Wave, covered the first months of the COVID wave in New York... and even some of his friends can't bring themselves to watch it. This film, Retrograde, started as an embed with the Green Berets and evolved when Joe Biden decided to leave the country unexpectedly. Matthew took some time to chat with David Poland about the film.
